James McFall and Ekke Loo Memorial Award Nominations Due August 31

Every year the ALA recognizes two outstanding volunteers with the James McFall and Ekke Loo Memorial awards.

The Ekke Loo Memorial Award is awarded to an individual who has demonstrated integrity and dedication to the development of lacrosse in Alberta. In recognition of Ekke Loo, who “championed the masses, the little guy, the new player and the players who just wanted to play.”

The James McFall Trophy is the most prestigious award presented by the Alberta Lacrosse Association to a volunteer who has made a commitment to good sportsmanship and to the development of the game of lacrosse. This trophy has its roots in Alberta and was presented to the ALA in the memory of James McFall by Dominion Construction Ltd.

To nominate someone for the Ekke Loo Memorial Award, please:

• Provide a resume of the nominee, outlining how they have demonstrated integrity and dedication to the development of lacrosse in Alberta for a number of years.
• Provide two letters of endorsement to support your nomination.

To nominate someone for the James McFall Trophy, please:

• Provide a resume of the nominee, outlining how they have made a commitment to good sportsmanship and to the development of the game of lacrosse in Alberta for a number of years.
• Provide two letters of endorsement to support your nomination.
