Sherwood Park Titans (8) vs. Calgary Axemen (3)
The Sherwood Park Titans took on the Calgary Axemen, who qualified for the Gold Medal Game earlier in the day against the Edmonton Wizards. The first two periods were closely contested and saw plenty of back and forth action. After the first period, the Titans led 3-1 and after the second, the Axemen closed the gap to one goal. However, the story and difference of the game was the third period where the Titans held the Axemen scoreless, while also adding four unanswered goals. At the conclusion of three periods, the Titans beat the weary Axemen team and walked away with an undefeated record and a gold medal in the Midget A Showcase.
