Team Alberta Player Registration Open!

Alberta Lacrosse is excited to open registration for our five Team Alberta teams and continue the success of the Team Alberta program as we head into the 2020 National Championships. All players can register through this link.

16U Midget Male, 16U Midget Female, and 14U Bantam Female Try-Out Information

Date(s): April 18 and 19, 2020

Location: Calgary Soccer Center (7000 48 St SE, Calgary, AB)

Registration Fee: $100

*All players will be guaranteed three evaluation floor times. Players selected for the final evaluation game in the afternoon of April 19, 2020, will be required to pay an additional $20 fee that will be collected at the registration table prior to the game.  

U15 Men's Field and U19 Women's Field Try-Out Information

Date(s): Jan 26, Feb 2, Feb 9, Feb 23, Mar 1, Mar 8, Mar 15

Location: Red Deer Dome 334 Energy Way, Red Deer County

Registration Fee: $175.00

Time: 12:00 PM - 2:00PM (U15 Men’s), 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM (U19 Women’s)

*U15 Men’s Field - Players must be born in 2005 or 2006

**U19 Women’s Field - Players must be born between September 1, 2001, and December 31, 2005

Other Information

The Alberta U15 Men’s Field team is tentatively scheduled to travel to the West Coast of the United States in mid-July to participate in a preliminary tournament as preparation for the National Championships. Players selected to Team Alberta U15 Men’s Field must commit to both events.

Team Alberta Requirements

  • Players who have not applied by the deadline date will NOT be permitted to try-out.
  • Players must register as a runner or goalie, not both.
  • Players must be registered and playing for a lacrosse club or team in the applicable sector that is under the jurisdiction of the Alberta Lacrosse Association (ALA) for the 2019 playing season.
  • Players may be required to attend more than one try-out camp.
  • Players, Club & Team Alberta coaches are strongly encouraged to work together to allow obligations to both teams to be met. The recommended priority is club games followed by Team Alberta activities.
  • If selected, players and parents are required to sign and adhere to the ALA Code of Conduct.
  • Players are to follow the criteria and rules as set up by the Canadian Lacrosse Association
  • Refunds for the tryout fee will only be considered for medical reasons. A doctor's note is required. Refunds are subject to approval and a $10 administration fee.
