Box Lacrosse New Coach Mentorship Clinics

May. 14, 2021

The aim of the Alberta Lacrosse Association’s coach mentorship program is to provide new coaches, or those looking for support, with enhanced knowledge and resources to help augment and validate their coaching abilities. The program is designed to provide coaches with supplemental educational opportunities, small group mentoring, and support in areas that have been identified as critical to athletic development. The program provides a structure and culture of learning and growth for all Alberta coaches. The program will provide coaches with the required skills, knowledge and support to promote and sustain higher levels of coaching performance for the purpose of increasing overall coaching competency.

Mentorship is a relationship in which a person with useful experience, knowledge, skills, and/or wisdom offers advice, information, guidance, support, or opportunity to another for that individual’s professional development.
