We're Hiring a Summer Student

We're looking for a summer student to join our team as Communication Assistant. The Communication Assistant will provide communication and marketing support for the day-to-day operations of the ALA. They will report to and work closely with the Executive Director to provide clear, concise, and timely development and delivery of ALA marketing and communication initiatives. Occasional travel within the province may be required.

This position is funded by the Canada Summer Job Program. Canada Summer Jobs criteria states the successful candidate must be:

• Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.
• A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations. International participants are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

Offer of employment will be subject to the ALA receiving the Canada Summer Job funding.
