Hello ALA Members,
As life begins to emerge under the shadow of COVID-19, we have now scheduled our 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM) for Sunday November 14, 2021.
As a Board of Directors, we are pleased to have had a successful return-to-play season under some agile alternate play scenarios however it is still prudent from both a cost-stewardship perspective, and as an ongoing COVID mitigation step, to hold the 2021 AGM in a virtual format once again (same as 2020).
Zoom meeting access will be communicated to Members via all ALA channels including email, website, social media, as well as relayed through our Local Governing Bodies (LGB’s) at a later date.
One agenda item for the 2021 AGM will be Executive elections. Currently, vacant positions include President (1 year term due to vacancy), and Director of Administration (2 year term). In addition, positions coming up for re-election include Director of Marketing and Communications (2 year term), and Director of Development (2 year term). Decisions on whether the individuals who currently hold the latter 2 positions will let their names stand for another term have not been made.
