The Alberta Lacrosse Association is pleased to share that this year’s AGM and Development Weekend was a tremendous success. The Association extends heartfelt thanks to all who attended, as well as to the Board and Executives for their ongoing dedication in their volunteer roles. Special appreciation goes to the ALA staff for coordinating a seamless and memorable event.
The Association is proud to announce the results of the recent Executive Elections:
Jocelyn Harris – Acclaimed as Director of Administration
Tim Stewart – Elected as Director of Marketing and Communications
Michael Groves – Elected as Director of Development
Sincere thanks are extended to Keith Berg, outgoing Director of Development, for his time, dedication, and significant contributions to lacrosse in Alberta. His leadership and commitment have been greatly appreciated.
This year’s election process was carried out in accordance with the Board Executive Elections Policy. Votes were counted and scrutineered by three volunteers to ensure fairness and transparency.
The Board acknowledges concerns raised by members during this first year of implementing the policy. Some gaps have been identified, particularly around communication. As a result, the Board will be reviewing the policy to strengthen clarity and improve processes moving forward. The Alberta Lacrosse Association thanks all members for their engagement, understanding, and continued commitment to advancing lacrosse across the province.

We were also honored to welcome the U22 Female Team, who joined us in person to receive their trophy. This exceptional group of athletes has now earned the privilege of hoisting this championship trophy three years in a row—a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to their hard work, dedication, and teamwork.
